It is a beautiful example of print of the XIX century, rectangular in shape, it is extremely accurate and rich with details, the author's hand reveals a remarkable artistic sensitivity. The heading is -Guido Reni dipinse- - Giuseppe Benaglia disegnò ed incise-. It is a reproduction of the famous work painted in the year 1615 by Guido Reni (1575-1642), now in the Museum of Capodimonte in Naples. It is a theme taken from the -Metamorfosi- and -Heroides- by the ancient Roman poet Ovidio. Author and engraver: Giuseppe Benaglia (Monza, Milan 1796-1830) (size cm. 76x59 - in. 30.4x23.6). Conditions: 4 repairs on the left portion (Atalanta's wrist, the nose, the ankle, the breast) and some small holes always on the left.

It is a work of exceptional beauty, remarkable is the harmonious plasticity of the bodies of the two mythological lovers and the landscape details of the background with trees and the vegetation.
