Oil on canvas -Madonna with blue veil- (beg. of XVIII c.)
CULTURAL GOOD volumetric weight Kg.33

It is a very refined work where the author showed a high delicacy of expression and a deep religious sensibility. It is a large-sized painting where the image of the Madonna dominates the heavenly place, which is shown by the celestial light of the background and by the crushing of the diabolic beast under her feet. Even though unsigned and undated, the painting can be acknowledged to be in the Northern Italy's XVIII century style. The picture is restored and is in very good conditions. (Size cm. 110x146 - in. 44x59 oval in shape)
Unique Features
It is a picture of exceptional beauty where the author has wisely harmonized the blue and white colours of the robe, using a wide beam of light to light up the face and the hands of the Madonna according to the traditional rules of Neo-classicism.
